Here are the baking ingredients and bits of kit I’ll use again and again. I’ve never received so much as a free sample in exchange for my good opinion: these just work for me.

Bob’s Red Mill: All hail Bob. My go-to choice for pretty much every kind of GF flour and grain you can think of. The GF oat flour stands head and shoulders above every other kind I’ve ever tried, I throw golden flaxseed meal into almost everything I bake and have the GF muesli most mornings for breakfast. Everything marked GF is processed in a dedicated gluten-free factory as well, so there’s no risk of cross contamination.

Arrowhead Mills: Giant bags of GF buckwheat, millet and tapioca. Lovely.

Authentic Foods: The best superfine, non-gritty brown rice flour I know of. Pricey, but one 3lb/1.36kg bag lasts me ages and they reassuringly don’t manufacture anything that contains gluten. They have superfine millet and sorghum, too.
